About the Story and Plot
Draw! is about a young boy, Tachi Kawa, who wants to become a famous and
well-known artist. So he sets out on a journey to the City of God, the last
place on Earth, to spread his name and art for everyone to see.
This might be harder than he thinks.
He discovers that in order to survive, he needs more than just himself. So
his first adventure is to find a gang of friends to help him with his dream
of becoming famous!

Setting
DRAW! takes place in a post-apocolyptic world where a great
and horrific disaster, reffered in history as "The End", nearly destroyed
everything on the planet. Many decades later what is left of humanity has
gathered in one place, the City of God. The story takes place here, in a
huge mecca of civilization, with peoples from all over the world trying to
build and restore what was lost. However, fear and greed reside here as
well, causing citizens of the City and the Slums to break into anarachy and
war. Also there are more evil things lurking in the shadows, weapons from
the past that many people believe caused "The End". Cursed Items, they are
called, are seemingly normal everday objects. These items hold a curse upon
them, a curse of unnatural power. Gangs of the city and slums make use of
these Cursed Items, vying for power and control over territory, they battle
against each other for their goals and ambitions.

Author's Comments
I created the idea for this manga in early 2004. I eventually made a base
story in the summer and started drawing the first concepts for characters and
pages. My goal was to create a good solid manga that would get me more
motivated in my artwork and life. I originally wanted something simple and
easy, to get the hang of creating manga. Eventually I got so into the
story-world and characters I was creating, that I decided to continue on
this route, and make something big. I completed the first chapter around.
April 2005 and went on a hiatus until September, when I finally got the time
and motovation to continue. Now the manga may not be big just yet, but it
will grow over time. Hopefully into something that gets me famous. ^^

Things to Know
DRAW! is an original manga and dojinshi. I call it a dojinshi because DRAW!
also parodies many other well-known manga and anime as well as tell an
original story. People, places names and even dialogue you may recognize
from some popular cartoon or from a less popular manga.
